concrete board table

‘concrete board table’ by dominik weber and kevin rubin

developed by dominik weber and kevin rubin, ‘the concrete board table’ is constructed out of two different elements, a supporting
structure on one hand and thin slabs on the other. a key feature of the surface plane consists of the visible framework being
showcased on both top and bottom. on the upper side, the surface becomes smooth, looking as if the concrete has been woven.
on the lower side, conically finned architecture has been created.

as a result, the slabs are separately being casted in-between the structural element. with two different casting processes being utilized,
the two concrete components finally grow together seamlessly. for finishing, four wooden legs are joint into the top where they carry
the surface load.
