IDAHO OUTPOST

Idaho Outpost by Olson Kundig Architects

Idaho is considered a remote location for those located in large metros, but for others it’s simply the perfect retreat and a place for the senses and creativity to re-emerge. This space built by Olson Kundig Architects is located in a wonderfully barren desert of Central Idaho for the making and display of art.

Crafted from concrete, plywood and car-decking; this space also features intentionally and intricately placed windows for the best views in any part of the interior. The lower exterior is surrounded by thick concrete walls and carefully titled the “Paradise Garden” where the artist is protected from the elements (to an extent) and art is able to be crafted in any part of this beautiful compound called the “Outpost.”
